After Motovun, let us visit the little town of Oprtalj, located on a hill, which is accessed by a narrow plateau and belongs to one of the most picturesque towns of northern Istria. This place once used to be a fortress bound by walls on which houses were built among barely protruding former town gates. Every step hides history-woven stones, carefully positioned in its place in order to create the perfect picture whose silence enthralls the visitors by stories of the past. The walk ends in the magnificent setting of a tavern where we taste authentic Istrian delicacies!
